While no special preparations are necessary before a HydraFacial treatment, there are a few things you should avoid before you schedule your treatment:
- Do not suntan, use a self-tanner, aggressive scrubs or masks or prescription-strength Retin A for 72 hours prior to your appointment.
- Do not get Botox or Injectable Fillers before your HydraFacial
- For men, shaving is not recommended on the day of treatment. If you choose to shave, please shave at least 3-4 hours before you arrive.
- Avoid waxing for 48 hours before your appointment

Many clients report seeing visible skin refinement and smooth, even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The glowing results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days, or even longer.
At Shobha®, we recommend one treatment every 4-6 weeks to maintain results, and improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, and oily and congested skin.
Because heat causes the pores to open, making them more susceptible to impurities, it is best to avoid hot showers, the sauna, and intense cardio for 24 hours after treatment.
Makeup can be applied immediately following treatment, so you are good to go about your day or back to the office right away. If you are able to go without it for the rest of the day, that is always preferable.
You should continue your daily skin care cleansing and moisturizing regime, recommended by your Shobha® professional. Weekly exfoliation using a masque or gentle scrub is recommended, but it is best to wait several days after your HydraFacial before exfoliating.
